Newsflash: Hayes buys Manitou

What it says... Official and everything.

A couple of forums have put up rumours that Hayes might have just bought Manitou, but we've had it confirmed by a source at Answer/Manitou that it's official.

"Yes, official today we are owned by HB Performance Systems (Hayes).
It is official, it is a done deal, we can talk about it, though there is
not a whole lot to talk about as far as details. Official press release
won't go out for a few weeks..."

Answer has been up for sale for what seems like a few years, so it's no surprise to hear that they've been sold. That Hayes has bought them isn't too surprising either - the two firms will make good, complimentary partners - forks and brakes. What this means for their UK distribution, we don't know just yet.
